Because It Did
August 16, 2011There comes a moment in our lives, when we realize the bad or negative things in life happen for a reason. We go around looking for an answer, trying to solve the problem on our own. We often contemplate who's wrong and who's right, but never stop to think about it. Why me? Why did this have to happen? What did I do wrong? But instead of questioning ourselves, we should stop and think, this happened because now I learned from it. Now, I can fix it. Now, I know better. Now, I'm stronger. These obstacles shape and mold us into the person we become later on in life. Into the person who walks down the street, confident as ever. Into the person who people are intimidated by. Into the person who smiles in the mirror and says "Life is good". We tend to consume ourselves with drama and depression. We tend to willow in self pity. But we never take the time to confront our biggest fears and problems and say "Thank you". Thank you for making me realize the truth and thank you for teaching me a lesson." If we show others that we are stronger then we appear, we can move on with this thing we call life - because we should enjoy each and every minute of it. We're only humans, we make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. And eventually, when the time is right and we find the answers to our questions, we'll be laying in our beds, covered from head to toes, staring at the ceiling with the smallest grin on our faces and say "because it did".
