Her Miracle

December 26, 2010

She lived in her own world. A world filled with imagination and hope. She would sit on her bedside every night hoping for a miracle to happen. Not just any miracle, but a miracle of her own. Hoping and wishing to meet someone who sees’s the world the same way she does. She looks out her window, staring at that one star. That star may be just a tiny speck of dust in the sky, but to her it’s more than that. She lives her life waiting for someone to prove her wrong. Just waiting. The people she meets, the impact they make on her life, are all just lessons. Lessons that teach her what she deserves in life. She deserves more than she expects. Her poor little heart has been through the worst, yet she still fights through it. She has a huge imagination and some people just don’t understand her. She wishes for people to understand and appreciate who she is, but no one does. Sometimes, she would cry herself to sleep every night, thinking that when she wakes up, everything will go back to normal. But it doesn’t. She just waits. Waits for a miracle to happen. She covers up the truth by putting on a smile. That smile can fool anyone. It fooled him. If only someone can read her without using words, but by her expressions, her body movements, her gestures and her heart. But no one does. She’s a happy girl, because being sad is not an exception. She always tries to find the brighter side in everything, but then she gives up. No one seems to look pass her appearance and look deeper into her heart and soul. She’s fallen in love before. But that has broken her. It changed her perspective towards love and men. Every time she meets someone, that catches her heart, her heart ends up falling deeper than his. She can’t help it with an imagination and a heart that burns brighter than the sun. She’s afraid of giving someone her heart, because that fire gets put out. Yet, she still stands there with a smile. Because being sad is no exception. She hides behind this wall, that she wishes someone will break down one day. And when that day comes, she’ll no longer be afraid. This world she lives in isn’t make-believe. It just takes someone to see the world in her eyes and that... is a miracle.
